CAGE: New Demo Track Posted Online
October 5, 2008San Diego metallers CAGE have posted a rough demo version of a new song, "Operation Overlord", on their MySpace page. The track is expected to appear on the band's forthcoming fifth album, tentatively due next year via an as-yet-undisclosed label.
Commented the group: "With the addition of our new legendary drummer Norm Leggio (ex-PSYCHOTIC WALTZ),CAGE has this time raised the bar even higher than anticipated. The new songs combine the best of the 'Unveiled', 'Astrology', 'Darker Than Black' and 'Hell Destroyer' CDs, along with a new fire lighting up our creative minds and lots of new musical surprises (can you say speed; blast beats and mayhem?)."
CAGE recently launched a podcast to track the progress of the writing and recording sessions for the band's new album. In the first podcast episode, singer Sean Peck talks about the musical direction of the new release and the recording process for the new CD. He discusses working with former PSYCHOTIC WALTZ drummer Norm Leggio and a new track can be heard playing in the background. Sean also talks about when the album will be released and other products coming out in 2009.
CAGE's last CD, "Hell Destroyer", was released in May 2007 in Western and Eastern Europe via MTM Music; in the USA and Canada via Destroy All Records Entertainment/BCD Music Group; in Mexico via Asenath Records/Iguana Records; and in Central and South America via Dynamo Records.
